Yeida to Buy Land for Rail Connection to Benefit Property Near Noida Airport

Property Near Noida Airport

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) announced plans to purchase 3,690 hectares of land from villages near Noida’s new international airport in Jewar. This land will be used for three key infrastructure projects to improve transportation links.

Main Projects for Connectivity

Yeida is preparing to buy land to build a 16 km-long freight corridor connecting the Noida airport to Chola railway station in Bulandshahr. Additionally, a commuter road will be developed alongside new industrial sectors, and a freight corridor will run through these sectors.

These projects aim to improve connections for both passengers and goods, linking the airport to nearby cities and boosting trade and transportation.

Land Acquisition for New Industrial Sectors

The land needed for these projects will come from the Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts. This space will also be used to develop 13 new industrial sectors, mainly for warehousing and logistics, enhancing the area’s economic potential.

Details of the Corridors

The planned freight corridor and commuter road will be 100 meters wide with four to six lanes. They will run parallel to the railway line between the Noida airport and Chola station. These improvements are part of the Master Plan 2041, which has sped up the land acquisition process to strengthen the connection between Bulandshahr and other districts.

Railway Line Extension

Plans are in place to extend the railway line to connect the Howrah-New Delhi main line near Chola station and the Chennai/Mumbai-Delhi main line near Rundhi station. This new line will support train movement in both directions from Jewar airport, enhancing the connectivity of property near Noida airport.

Villages Included in the Plan

Yeida’s Master Plan 2041 has also incorporated 55 villages from Bulandshahr, extending its jurisdiction to the Delhi-Howrah railway route. These villages will be developed into industrial sectors with road and rail links.

Benefits to Nearby Areas

According to Arun Vir Singh, Yeida’s chief executive officer, these infrastructure projects, including road and rail connections, will benefit the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), also known as New Noida. The improved connectivity will positively impact property near Noida airport and support the development of the proposed international film city nearby.

Chola Station Upgrade

Yeida has also decided to upgrade the Chola railway station into a modern hub. The authority will fund this redevelopment, and the proposal has been submitted to the railways ministry. This station upgrade will further enhance the value of the property near Noida Airport.
